Joan Bauguess Pinnix

Mrs. Joan Bauguess Pinnix, 79, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was born on August 4, 1944, in Forsyth Co., the daughter of the late Clifton William Bauguess, Sr. and Clara Gentry Bauguess. Joan was a sweet and gentle woman, who worked hard all of her life. She loved Elvis and will be remembered as a good cook. Joan will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Pinnix; and a brother, Clifton William Bauguess, Jr. Joan is survived by her brother, Wayne Bauguess; several nieces and nephews; stepchildren, Julie Brittian (Sean) and Ryan Pinnix and step-grandchildren, Brenden and Krista. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, September 1, 2023, at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. For those who would like to pay their respects, Mrs. Pinnix will lie-in-state from 2:00-5:00, Thursday afternoon, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
