Mrs. Joan Johnson Williams, 61, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born May 18, 1954 in Stokes County to the late William Thomas and Lavenia Tuttle Johnson. Preceding her in death were a brother, Billy Johnson and three sisters, Betty James, Carolyn Sewell, and Calen Fulk. Surviving is her husband of 43 years, Jerry Williams; daughter, Karen Culbertson and husband, Ryan and a son, Travis Williams and wife, Shannon; four grandchildren, Elanor Culbertson, John Thomas Culbertson, Michael Williams, and Jeffrey Williams; also surviving is a brother, Donald Johnson and wife, Patsy. A visitation will be held 6-8 PM Monday, January 18, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to the American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Dr., Greensboro, NC 27407.
