Joann Harrison

Mrs. JoAnn Harrison, 73, of Pfafftown, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after a long and tough battle with cancer. Cancer did not win the battle, she just ran out of time. She was born March 14, 1944 in Roaring River to Clyde Albert and Gladys Elizabeth Byrd Jordan. She enjoyed gardening and observing the beauty of God's work in nature, especially plants and animals. She received a business degree from Draughon's Business College. Mrs. Harrison retired from Bob Neill Pontiac with 18 years of service. She was a member of Lexwin Baptist Church for many years, where she was very active. Preceding her in death was her loving husband, Wiley Roger "Yogi" Harrison; two sons, Larry Jay and Roger Dale Harrison; three brothers, Archie, Harvey, and Don Jordan. She leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Gary Ray Harrison of Lewisville; daughter-in-law, Pam Harrison; two grandchildren, Amanda and Justin Harrison; two great-grandsons, Jason and Ethan; also surviving is a brother, Floyd Jordan and wife, Penny of Winston-Salem and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Pastor Danny Hauser officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
