Joanne Yvonne Baer Thomson

Joanne Yvonne Baer Thomson, 73, passed away on February 27, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Joanne was born on August 6, 1952, to Jeanne Yvonne Atchley Baer and John Joseph Baer in Queens, New York.

Joanne was a retired New York City Paramedic.

She was best know for her artistic abilities. She loved quilting, ceramics, sandblasting, stained glass, and painting. She also enjoyed teaching children how to paint and do crafts.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Peter Francis Thomson. Surviving are four children, Tara-Ann Santiago, Jason Coppa, Danielle Bobell, and Amanda Thomson; twelve grandchildren; her three siblings Jack Baer, Janet Forgione, and Jeannine Kuzniewski; her many beloved nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, March 6, 2026, at the funeral home.
