John Bryan Freeman

Mr. John Bryan Freeman, 56, of Greensboro passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 at Wesley Long Hospital. He was born April 23, 1961 in Forsyth County, the son of the late, Everette Flay Freeman, III and Martha Jane Sullivan Freeman Farris. Mr. Freeman was a 1980 graduate of R. J. Reynolds High School and attended Elon College. He was a self-employed General Contractor. Survivors include his wife, Jan Ellis Freeman; one daughter, Courtney Freeman; three sisters, Mary Freeman Gilbert, Lori Freeman Flanigan and Ellen Freeman Knight and husband Phil; four nephews, Ben Knight, Max Gilbert, Aren Gilbert and David Flanigan; five nieces, Sarah Calvert, Rachel Knight, Katie Knight, Hannah Smith and Amy Flanigan; and numerous extended family. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at The Daniel Family Cemetery in Newland, NC with Father Louis Canino OFM officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem . Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, 4 Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407 or Saint Francis Springs Prayer Center, 477 Grogan Road, Stoneville, NC 27048.
