John Waddell Hancock Jr.

John Waddell Hancock Jr., 89, of Clemmons, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, at Mallard Ridge Assisted Living.

Mr. Hancock was born November 19, 1936, in Forsyth County, to John Waddell Hancock Sr. and Naoma Beck Hancock. He was a member of Mocks Church in Advance. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his first wife, Kay Owens Hancock; his second wife, Anna Jones Hancock; two sisters, Connie Boyle, and “Zee Lee” Tierney; and his son in-law, Stephen Kaluzne.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Dale Hancock (Beth); his daughter, Debra H. Kaluzne; two stepdaughters, Amber Martin, and Nicole Martin; four grandchildren, Jessica Harwood, Jordan Harwood, Taylor Harwood, and Stratton Stone; his sister, Hilda H. Jester.

A funeral service will be held 10am Friday, March 27, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Gary Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
