John Harrison Harp, Jr.

Mr. John Harrison Harp, Jr. passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Harp was born March 9, 1943 in Forsyth County to the late John H. and Ruby Cromer Harp. In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Cothran and a brother Richard Harp. Surviving is his wife of 22 years, Mary Hauser Harp. Daughters; Susan (Daniel) Smith, Rachel (Bryce) Cremians and Sarah (Jennifer) Studard, sons Mark Harp and Matt Harp. Six grandchildren with two additional expected. One brother; Frank ""Sonny"" Harp and wife Minnie. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, February 8, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Tobaccoville. Rev Jenna Grogan will officiate. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall Saturday evening February 7th from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M.
