John Lewis Harrington

KING, Mr. John Lewis Harrington, Sr. 88 of Coy Hall Rd. died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at his home. John was born in Forsyth County on October 12, 1919 the son of the late Clyde Lawrence Harrington, Sr. and Mamie Victoria Woods Harrington. He was of the Baptist Faith and had retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company Bailey Power Plant. John was a Veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving during WW II. A son Michael Harrington preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife of 57 years Ann Thompson Harrington of the home, a daughter Deborah A. Kilby of Winston-Salem, three sons John Lewis Harrington, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA, Clyde Lawrence Harrington of the home and Brian K. Harrington of Winston-Salem, three grandsons two granddaughters and one great granddaughter. A Memorial service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Eddie Honeycutt officiating. Memorial Donations are requested to be made to Hospice and Palliative CareCenter 3169 Hwy. 8 South, Walnut Cove, NC 27051.
