John Linzelly Keaton

John Linzelly Keaton, 88, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at King Health and Rehab.

Mr. Keaton was the oldest child of Pete and Frances Keaton. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Bertie Jo Keaton; and his sister, Ida.

Surviving are his daughter and son in-law, Susan and Jeff Fountain Sr.; four grandchildren, Christopher Keaton Fountain (Kristi), Zackary John Fountain Sr. (Katie), Jeffrey S. Fountain Jr. (Jessica), and Nicole Lynn Fountain; 5 great-grandchildren, Kylee Nicole Foster, Jeffrey S. Fountain III, Serena Aubree Philips, Anastasia Lynnae Fountain, and Zackary John Fountain Jr.; his faithful and loving brother, Carroll and his sweet sister in-law, Sue; two brothers in-law, Frank Thomas (Carol), and Bruce Thomas (Donna); numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 12 PM Monday, December 8, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Michael Gates officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.

A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank “the staff that became our family” of King Health and Rehab. They would also like to extend their thanks to Mountain Valley Hospice for their care and compassion during the last part of his journey.
