John Railey

Mr. John “Nat” Nathaniel Railey, 73, of Winston-Salem passed away on July 8, 2019 at his residence. He was born on March 19, 1946 in Wilmington to John Railey and Mary Long Railey. Mr. Railey was a kind and giving person who took care of everyone around him. He was a skilled carpenter and enjoyed building and creating things. He was an avid golfer and boatman. Mr. Railey grew up on the coast and he loved being on the water. Surviving are his soulmate, Debra Grant; son, Michael Railey; brother, Jerome Railey and wife Debbie; sister, Margaret “Peggy” Adams; other family members, Carla Hester and her daughters, Lorelai and Jordan Hester, Erich Grant and wife Jill and their sons, Fisher and Hudson Grant; his beloved dog, Megyn. No services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Forsyth Humane Society.
