John A. Reavis, 50, of Lewisville, NC passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. He was born March 18, 1974 in Forsyth County. He was a devoted husband and father. John loved God and his family. His wife and children were his pride and joy and he worked hard to make sure they were taken care of and felt loved every day. He enjoyed nature and being outside any chance he got. John never met a stranger and would talk to anyone. His sense of humor and kind heart was one of the things loved most about him. John’s legacy lives on through his beloved wife and soulmate, Jennifer L. Reavis; their three children, Kinleigh Reavis, Jonathan Reavis and Greyson Reavis; and two older children Allie Nix (Noah), and Addison Reavis. He is also survived by his mother, Deborah Turner of Winston-Salem; his father, James R. Reavis (Kathie) of Winston-Salem; his Mammaw and Pawpaw, Burnese and Buddy Parker of Lewisville; and two step brothers, Mark Elliott and Chad Elliott. He was expecting his first grandchild in October. He is preceded in death by his brother, Chris Nunn; an uncle, Jody Reavis; and two sets of loving grandparents, John and Betty Turner and John and Barbary Reavis.
He was retired from Carolina Public Warehouse, Inc of Winston- Salem as their IT Logistics and Accounting manager for over 30 years.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Dr. Jon Bowman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
John will be missed by many especially his family who loved him dearly. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, granting eternal life to all who believe in Him”. KJV John 3:15-17. Through God’s promise and John's salvation, we rejoice in knowing we will see him again.
