John Scott

KERNERSVILLE - Mr. John Reynolds Scott, 85, passed away May 27, 2018 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. John was born May 27, 1933 in Todd County, NC to the late Luri and Blanche Hurley Scott. Mr. Scott served in the U.S. Army as a Medic in the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his loving wife; Rosie Knight Scott, and his son; Robert Reynolds Scott.

Surviving are, his son; Albert Scott (Angie), a daughter; Sandra S. Manning both of Kernersville, three grandchildren; Rob Scott (Crystal), Selena Perdue (Scott), Brandon Scott (Abigail), four grandchildren; Aaliyah, Chyann, Kaleb, Hayden, a brother; Bryan Scott (Wanda) ,a sister; Carolyn Ruth (Mike).

A service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Jerry Simpkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 12:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care Center at 101 Hospice Lane Winston Salem, NC 27103.
