John Shaughnessy

Mr. John Francis Shaughnessy, 77 of Lexington, NC passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. He was born June 7, 1941 in Newton, MA to John Henry and Helen Hough Shaughnessy. Mr. Shaughnessy is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul. Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Shaughnessy; three children, Robin Russett (Joe), John Shaughnessy and Jim Shaughnessy (Katie); seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and four sisters, Maureen, Joan, Jean and Mary Ellen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Wedneday, September 5, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church by Father Peter Nouck. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hinkle Hospice House.
