John Wilson Vernon

John Wilson Vernon, born May 30, 1948, passed away Thursday at Wake Forest Baptist Health. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Jodie Sunday Vernon, his sons Joshua Elijah, Justin Ross, daughter Jessica Sarah Craig, and granddaughter Olivia Botta Vernon. John lived life to the fullest, loved rock hunting, loved the outdoors, and found beauty everywhere. He left a distinct mark on those that knew him, was loved dearly, and will be greatly missed. A small memorial service will be held Monday, February 9, at Ardmore Baptist church at 2:00 p.m.
