John Allard Watts

John Allard Watts of McCormick, SC passed away peacefully at University hospital on June 24, 2017 at the age of 79. John is survived by his wife, Doris and children, Jeff Watts and Nancy Watson along with 5 grandchildren. John was born on May 13, 1938 in Cape Girardeau, MO to John S and Pearl Watts. He graduated from Sikeston High School and attended Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy at Rolla, Missouri. He married Doris Burchinal, in 1962, and they spent 55 years together. John retired from his position as manager for Fleming-Potter printing company in 1996 and moved to McCormick, SC. His children and grandchildren will lovingly remember him for his kindness and patience, and that he always encouraged them to pursue their goals. Fishing and golfing were a favorite pastime upon retirement, and he was an active member of the local power squadron where he enjoyed teaching boating classes. He was also a member of the McCormick Methodist Church. A memorial service is scheduled for the family at 11:00 on July 7, 2017 at the Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel in Advance, NC.
