John Wayne

Mr. John Edward Wayne, 68, of Clemmons, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Forsyth County on August 30, 1949 to Jess and Mary Robinson Wayne. Mr. Wayne was a former member of Forest Park Baptist Church and was actively employed at Wake Forest University Baptist Health. He was a lover of animals, especially his dog, Molly, cat, Mickey, and grand dog, Kali. Mr. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Glenna Wayne. Surviving are his wife, Vickie Wayne; step-son, Matthew Wilson; step-daughter, Jennifer Beard. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Francis Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
