John Lewis Williard

KERNERSVILLE - John Lewis Williard, 86, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 21, 2013. He was born September 9, 1926 in Guilford Co. to the late Ervin Cornellius and Rachel Warren Williard. Mr. Williard was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. As in Joshua 24:15, he faithfully led his family and his house, to serve the Lord. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Hellard Williard; and brother, Ned C. Williard. Surviving are his son, David E. Williard and wife, Patsy; three daughters, Kathy W. Hobson and husband, Donnie, Barbara W. Dowdy and husband, James, Lisa W. Bell and husband, Ken; three sisters, Ruth Pearman, Betty Peddicord, and JoAnn Stewart; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Dr. Bobby Roberson and Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM prior to the service on Thursday at the church.
