John "Jack" Kemper

Mr. John “Jack” Wade Kemper, 84, of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019. He was born August 11, 1934 to Juanita Mildred Rucker Kemper and Edgar Allan Kemper. Mr. Kemper was a veteran who retired from the U.S. Army after 38 years. Jack was a true warrior to the end. His goal was always to win the battle but this one he could not. He is now with fellow warriors as a reward from our Heavenly Father for having fought the good fight. Jack served his country well and never looked for a reward but received many. He ran a business after retirement. His achievements are many, his friends numerous, many waiting for him to join them. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Kay Kemper and one cousin, Lou Rucker and wife Linda. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Carl Zdancewicz officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
