Johnny George

Mr. Johnny Lee George, 84, of Clemmons, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 11, 2017. He was born September 7, 1933 in Forsyth County to Charlie Lee George and Irene Stewart George. Mr. George was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army before marrying the love of his life, Glenda Gobble of Salisbury in 1958. He spent 48 years in the employment of National Linen Service from which he retired as Regional Vice President. Mr. George was a faithful and devoted member of Union Hill Baptist Church in Clemmons. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy George. Surviving are his son, Marty George; a sister, Barbara Helms and two brothers, Gary and Bobby George. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Union Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Christopher Burcham officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. (Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel)
