Jonathan Asch

Jonathan was born and raised on Long Island, NY. He graduated from Gen. MacArthur H.S. in Wantagh, N.Y. went on to attend UNC Chapel Hill and Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. His work in the apparel industry moved him to various parts of the country including St.Louis and Boston and then back to New York City and Locust Valley, Long Island, before relocating to Winston Salem in 2015.
Jon was a lover of sports both as participant and fan, loved playing basketball, softball, tennis and in his later years, golf. He was an expert in sports history and trivia, never missing the sports pages of the daily newspapers. He had varied interests in many other subjects, especially music and great food.
He was the son of the late Roy and Sylvia Asch and brother of the late Carolyn Lewis. He is survived by a sister, Barbara Asch (Gene Lipman) of New York, nephews Christopher (Kelda) and Michael Lewis, nieces Charlotte and Katherine Lipman. Great uncle to Sydney and Olivia Lewis. He will be sorely missed by an extended family and many old and new friends.
