Jonathan Hemrick

Jonathan "Bart" Hemrick, age 58, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 13 at the Forsyth Medical Center, following a valiant battle with cancer. Bart graduated from Smyrna High School where he was known for his love of band and playing trumpet. He studied business at Middle Tennessee State University prior to enrolling in the US Air Force and traveling domestically and internationally. Following his service, he returned to Winston-Salem, NC where he worked for many years in the glass repair business. Many described Bart as one of the hardest working persons and greatest mentors they had ever known.

Bart is preceded in death by his parents, George and Marsha Hemrick. He is survived by his loving daughter, Alexis Hemrick (Jeff) of Maryville, TN; devoted partner, Paula Noorani of Winston Salem; and brother Eric Hemrick (Alma) of Colorado. Bart is also survived by half sister, Georgia Core (Craig); step-brother, Eugene Cox (Angela); step-sister, Becky Benton; step-sister, Barbara Cox and stepmother, Roni Stoneman, all of the Nashville, TN area.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 1:30 - 2:30 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 3 PM at Forsyth Memorial Park.

Memorial donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the SECU Family House, 1970 Baldwin Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
