Jose Miguel Valdez

Jose Miguel Valdez, a cherished husband, father, family man, and friend passed away suddenly on June 14, 2026, at the age of 67. Jose was born on March 10, 1959 in New York State. Jose dedicated his life to education, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for computers with students and peers alike. His gentle spirit and commitment to nurturing the minds of others made him not only a teacher but a mentor and friend. Jose was a Trekkie (devoted Star Trek Fan) and enjoyed watching older shows like Twilight Zone and Batman. He was a godly man, which showed in his character. Jose would take the shirt off his back to help others in need. He enjoyed music and played the trumpet. Jose was preceded in death by his parents Carlton and Catherine Estwick. He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate, Joanna Valdez; a son Cory Dobson; and several family members including siblings, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A funeral service in honor of Jose will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
