Joseph Edwin Phillips

Mr. Joseph Edwin Phillips, 54 of Mocksville, died Friday, August 14, 2009. He was born August 27, 1954 in Rowan County to Charles and Mary Lou Foster Phillips. Mr. Phillips was a current Rural Mail Carrier for U.S. Postal Service in Mocksville. He is survived by two sons, Eric Phillips and wife Melinda and Scott Phillips; three granddaughters, Aspen, Charleigh and Payton; his parents, Charles and Lou Foster Phillips; his former wife, Susan P. Phillips all of Mocksville; two sisters, Eva Phillips Casstevens and husband Danny also of Mocksville and Laura Phillips Pearson and husband Craig of Lenoir; one brother, Justin B. Phillips and wife Donna of Mocksville; uncle Tex Foster and wife Margaret of Mooresville and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 PM Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel by Rev. Karen Roberts. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
