Joseph Lewis Reagan

KERNERSVILLE - Mr. Joseph Lewis Reagan, 92, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. Joseph was born in Wisconsin on April 4, 1922 to Joseph and Margaret Harris Reagan. Joe spent many years farming and later worked as a Car Inspector for Chicago Northwest Railroad, retiring after 34 years of service and never missing a day of work. He had a deep respect for his family and friends. Joe had a positive outlook and appreciation for life, constantly sharing uplifting quotes with his loved ones.

In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Reagan; his long-time companion, Joyce Selg, two brothers, Mike and Jim Reagan; and one sister, Ellen Smith.

Surviving are his extended family and caregivers, Beth Wagner (Skip) of Kernersville, Greg Selg (Mary) of Minnesota, and Sue Lammers (Martin) of Washington; two Sisters Catherine Chapman of MN and Delores Reagan Reep of FL; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren all of which he thought of as his own; special friend, Talma McGee-Head and best friend, Ernie Tyra.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Ike Patterson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 5:45 p.m. Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
