Joseph Alexander Scott

Joseph Alexander Scott, 28, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. He was born August 23, 1986 in Forsyth County and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Joseph loved to fish and hunt and was self employed in the landscaping business. Surviving are his parents, Marcia and Rodney Scott; his daughter, Leah Ann Saunders; one sister, Alisha Michelle Scott; his grandmother, Virginia T. Scott and his fiancée, Rebecca Smith; two uncles, Billy R. Scott (Carol Jane) and Bobby G. Scott (Bonnie) and numerous cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem with Rev. Chris Hughes and Rev. David Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 2170 Bethel Methodist Church Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
