Joseph Robert Steen

Joseph Robert Steen, 26, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on July 17, 2025.

Joseph was born on August 5, 1998, to Brian and Lou Steen in Winston- Salem, NC and was one of a beloved, miraculous set of triplets. He graduated from Ronald Reagan High School, and later graduated from Appalachian State University, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha order. After college, he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and was employed at Allen Lund Company. Joseph built a life full of laughter, meaningful relationships, and lasting memories.

Joseph was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend and will be remembered by all with great love and adoration. He is survived by his father, Brian Steen (Mikayla), his sisters, Mary Davis Laws (Zach) and Hannah Steen (fiancé William Lam); his grandfather, Joe Steen, step- grandmother Sandra Church, special aunts, uncles and cousins and his loving girlfriend, Katie Grzeszczak. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Lou Davis Steen. He also leaves behind his cherished dog, Charlotte, who was the love of his life and his constant companion.

Joseph treasured the time spent with his sisters, friends, family and never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite team, Alabama. Roll Tide!

A funeral service will be held on July 23rd, 2025, at Hayworth Miller- Lewisville. The family will receive visitors at 2:00 PM, followed by a service at 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorials be made to the Watauga Humane Society at www.wataugahumane.org or Samaritan’s Purse at www.samaritanspurse.org in Boone, NC in Joseph’s memory.

Joseph will be missed forever and lovingly remembered for his warm heart, easy laugh, and the joy he brought to those around him.
