Joseph “Travis” Johnson, 35, of Pfafftown, NC passed away on Wednesday May 8, 2024, at his home. Travis was born to Penny Willard Norman and the late Robert Mitchell “Mitch” Johnson on November 29, 1988. He loved hiking, playing basketball with his son and nephews, playing his guitar around a fire with his friends and making them laugh every chance he got. In addition to his father, Travis was preceded in death by his grandfather; Delmar Willard, three great-grandmothers; Bertha Poteat, Jewell Brooks, and Catherine Johnson, and three great-grandfathers; J.F. Brooks, J.W. Johnson, and Jacob Norman. Left to cherish his memory is his son; Caiden Wayne Johnson of the home, mother; Penny Norman of the home, one sister; Kasey D. Pebbles Angell (Lee) of Rural Hall, three brothers; Jacob Willard (Katie) of Rural Hall, Gabriel D. Norman of Cullowee NC, and James Dewayne Vansutphen of the home, two nephews; Brentlee Angell and Carter Angell, one niece, Payton Willard, maternal grandmother, Kay Willard of the home, paternal grandparents; Kay and Richard Mast of Rural Hall, Jeffry Johnson of Germanton, and numerous cousins. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel.
