Josephine McCarthy Bailey

Mrs. Josephine McCarthy Bailey, 101, passed away on Tuesday January 9, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on December 18, 1922, in Emanuel County, Georgia to the late Alexander Loving McCarty and Neva Mae Hackle McCarty. Josephine was a member of Messiah Moravian Church. She worked for Western Electric for many years. Along with her parents Josephine is preceded in death by her loving husband Max Carlton Bailey. She is survived by her son David (Carolyn) Bailey; granddaughter Sarah (Paul) Peninger and her children Max and Erin; granddaughter Laura (Jason) McMahan and her children Lucy and Lilly; and sister Melvis McCarthy.
