With deep sorrow and immense love, we remember Joshua Aaron Hardison, 45, who passed away on January 22, 2026, at his home in Wallburg, NC. While his loss leaves a profound ache in the hearts of those who knew him, his life leaves behind a legacy of craftsmanship, resilience, and a bond of love that time cannot erase.
A Life of Skill and Service
Josh was a man of many talents and a tireless work ethic. As a teenager, he was already an entrepreneur mowing lawns. During high school, he mastered welding and AutoCAD—often finishing assignments well ahead of his peers to make time for a game of Doom. His early twenties were defined by service, volunteering for the local rescue squad and working as an EMT. Though he was a gifted welder, Josh soon realized that the traditional corporate path didn't suit his independent spirit. After a successful stint in sales traveling to car shows, he found his true calling in the art of upholstery. For over a decade, he owned and operated AAA Upholstery Specialist, becoming a highly respected specialist in custom seating. Whether for restaurants, gyms, or medical offices, his precision was evident in every stitch. Josh thrived on challenges, thinking "outside the box" and persisting until a problem was solved. He could fix or build almost anything, earning a reputation for both excellence and innovation.
Heart, Humor, and the Art of the Deal
At his core, Josh was a true "people person." A master storyteller, he had a gift for punctuating his tales with sharp wit and hard-earned wisdom. In business, he was a natural negotiator who loved the pursuit of a win-win outcome. He showed up for those he loved—not for recognition, but because it was simply who he was. Whether you needed a listening ear, a laugh, or someone to sit with in comfortable silence, Josh was there. His passions ranged from the adrenaline of riding dirt bikes in his youth to the patient art of the grill. To Josh, a meal was never just about food; it was about the stories told over the smoker and the laughter that followed. His loyalty and quiet strength never required a spotlight to be felt.
A Legacy of Faith and Fatherhood
In 2018, Josh met the love of his life, Nicole (Sanfiorenzo). They married in August 2020 and welcomed their daughter, Charlotte, in December 2021. Following the profound tragedy of Nicole’s passing shortly after Charlotte’s birth, Josh stepped into the role of a single father with extraordinary grace. Josh lived for Charlotte. He never complained about the weight he carried; instead, he used his journey as a powerful witness for his faith. He walked through life with the quiet confidence of his salvation, knowing exactly where he was going when his time came. As a father, he was deeply loving and patient, masterfully balancing the demands of his business with the absolute joy of raising his daughter.
Survivors
Josh is survived by his beloved daughter, Charlotte; his parents, Wilson and Marlene Hardison; his sister, Jenny Clark; and a wide circle of extended family and dear friends. Though the space he leaves is impossible to fill, the love he gave remains.
