Joyce Dean Lancaster

Mrs. Joyce Dean Lancaster, 66, passed away October 7, 2013 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. Joyce was born September 23, 1947 to Joe W. Jones and Dorothy Morgan Jones in Haywood County. She was a member of Clearview Baptist Church and was retired from the Media Center at Parkland High School. A devoted mother and grandmother, Joyce especially loved to spend time with her family. She also enjoyed traveling and was gifted at arts and crafts. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, R.P. Lancaster; daughter, Leighann Styers; grandson, Tyler Styers; and her mother, Dorothy Morgan Styers. Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Eddie Wilson (Jennifer Kearney); grandson, Matthew Styers; granddaughter, Sabrina Wilson; father Joe Jones (Dot); and brother, Randy Jones (Sandra). A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday at Clearview Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Purdue officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
