Joyce Mayhew Pyrtle

Randleman - Joyce Arlene Mayhew Pyrtle, 64, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, October 3, 2016. Joyce was born December 1, 1951 in Guilford County to Joseph Elkin and Margaret Stewart Mayhew. She was a member of Kernersville Wesleyan Church and loved to travel.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Pyrtle, Sr.

Surviving are her son, Andy Bryant (wife, Carla) of Bristol, TN; grandchildren, Everette and Ava Pyrtle; one brother, Billy Mayhew, of Huntsville, AL; a granddog, Bentley; and a grandcat, Samantha.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Dennis Burnette and Rev. Don Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 5, at Mt. Gur Cemetery.
