Juanita Lambert Holland

Mrs. Juanita Lambert Holland, 90, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation in Mt. Airy. She was born on September 22, 1935, in Stanley Co., the daughter of the late Howard Lemuel Lambert and Ada Ann Huneycutt Lambert. Mrs. Holland retired from Sara Lee Hosiery, as the district manager of the outlet stores. Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, who will be missed by all who knew her. She was a dedicated member of Germanton Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and in other capacities. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Holland, and two brothers, Houston and Rayven Lambert. She is survived by a daughter, Anita Cook (Farrell); a son, Thomas A. Holland; four grandchildren, Torium Matthews (Adam), Joshua Cook (Sarah), Jonathan Holland and Jennifer Holland; five great-grandchildren, Dylan Matthews, Drake Matthews, Caitlyn Mulrooney, Ruby Cook and Josephine Cook; and one brother, Tony Lambert (Rita). A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2026, at Crestview Memorial Park with Rev. Jim Miller officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
