Judith Ann Allen

KERNERSVILLE- Judith Ann Howell Allen, 82, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 3, 2016 following a prolonged battle with dementia. Mrs. Allen was born on January 18, 1934 in Forsyth County, NC to the late Tom Holden and Lillie Jane Adams Howell. Mrs. Allen worked in retail most of her working life. She was a great example of a wife, mother, and grandmother, and she loved her family dearly. She is now at peaceful rest with her Savior. She will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by a son - David Lee Allen; a daughter - Frankie Ann Allen; and four brothers - Carl, Thomas, Robert, and Jim. She is survived by Frankie, her loving husband of 63 years; daughter Jane Hodges (Rick); son Ricky Russell; five grandchildren - Victor Allen, Jackie Allen, Brian Russell, Jennifer Lee, and Amanda Guthrie; numerous great-grandchildren, including Chris and Grayson Lee, and Hannah and Katie Guthrie; one sister - Betty Belton; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel, with Rodney Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
