Julia Hawks White

Mrs. Julia White, 81 passed away on July 21, 2014 at Autumn Care of Mocksville. She was born on November 24, 1932 in Carroll County, VA, to the late William and Mattie Hawks. Julia retired from Sara Lee Direct with 40 years of service. In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Henry R. White; siblings Myrtle Head of Winston-Salem, Flora Martin and Jay Hawks both of Cana, VA. She is survived by daughter Lynne Watson and husband Charles of Winston-Salem; granddaughter Stephanie Millirons and husband Dustin of Winston-Salem; grandson Zach Watson and wife Lyndsi; great grandson Henry Masyn Watson of Winston-Salem; siblings Ruby Blakely of Clemmons; Lou Leonard and James Hawks both of Cana, VA, and Gurnie Hawks of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Thursday, July 24, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at Hayworth-Miller with the Rev. Dustin Millirons officiating. The committal service will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Darren Alexander officiating. Flowers will be accepted for the service or memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Western Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215. The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Autumn Care of Mocksville.
