June Elliott Blackmon

June Elliott Blackmon, 79, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at the Danby Home. She was born June 16, 1934 in Forsyth County to Wade Wadsworth and Bessie Davis Elliott. Ms. Blackmon was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dale Blackmon; and two brothers, Kenneth Elliott and Albert Elliott. Surviving are one son, Tony Blackmon; one daughter, Sheila Blackmon; and a sister, Jeanette Tate and husband Richard. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Brackett officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Danby Home for their care and support.
