June Motsinger

Kernersville - Emma June Hiatt Motsinger, 89, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 27, 2017 surrounded by her daughters. June was born on June 24, 1928 in Davidson County to John Andrew and Mabel Farabee Hiatt. She was a faithful member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church where she founded the Church Preschool Program and served as the director for many years. June was also a Girl Scout Leader for several years. June was a devoted wife and mother, sharing her sweet smile and kind words with all she met, passing on her kindred spirit to her daughters and family.
In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Motsinger; a sister, Linda Cline; and a son-in-law, Eric Alton Saunders.
Surviving are her daughters, Alisa Saunders, Lorilynn Egan (Christopher), and Willann Baker (Lowell); five grandchildren, Will Boudousquie (Leslie), Courtney Boudousquie Mello (Ben), Alexander Bradley, Jordan Egan, and Anna Baker; one great grandchild, Ava Nicole Boudousquie; a sister, Johnsie Faircloth (Jimmy); a brother, Andy Hiatt (Sandra); numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving Motsinger family members.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Rev. George Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall.
