Karen Elizabeth Carper Hastings

Karen Elizabeth Carper Hastings, 64, of Stokesdale, NC passed away peacefully at Kernersville Medical Center on Saturday, August 2, 2025. She was born to the late Bill Andrew Carper and Rebecca Elziabeth Triplett Carper on January 10, 1961, in Forsyth County.

Karen attended grade school at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. She went on to attend Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School although she graduated from East Forsyth High School. Karen worked in the textile industry at H.E. Crawford Company for 25 years of her career. She married the love of her life, Chuck in 1979. During their marriage, Karen and Chuck enjoyed traveling to the mountains and seeing family at the coast. Karen enjoyed many hobbies but has a real love for doing crafts. The memories she left behind will forever be deeply cherished by all those who loved her.

In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her sister, Cindy Holly Smith; and nephew, Shawn Holly.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Charles “Chuck” Russell Hastings, Jr.; sister, Billie McCall (Lynn); brother, David Carper (Stacey); eight nieces/nephews; and seven great- nieces/nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Officiating the service is Rev. Stan Heiser.
