Katherine Hildebrand Cockerham

Katherine Hildebrand Cockerham passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the age of 76. Kathy was born on March 30, 1948, in Smithfield, North Carolina to the late Miles B. Hildebrand and Harriet B. Hildebrand.

Kathy was an employee of Amp Inc. for 20 years. She loved reading and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Kathy also enjoyed drawing and painting. She will be missed by many people that loved her.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her brother, Samuel Thomas Hildebrand. Surviving is her loving husband, John Frank Cockerham; daughter, Heather Cockerham Sheets (Scott); son, John Travis Cockerham; brother, Miles Wayne Hildebrand; sister, Patricia Hildebrand Horton; two grandchildren, Ryan Chase Parsons, and Adelyn Birch Cockerham; and two great grandsons, Hudsyn Rhett Parsons, and Hayden River Parsons.

A service of celebration will be held at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel at 3315 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
