Kathleen Joyner Burton

Mrs. Kathleen Joyner Burton, 91 of Hwy 801 S., Advance, NC, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012. She was born in Forsyth County on January 10, 1921 to Grover Cleveland and Mary Ethel Renegar Joyner. She had retired from Hanes Corporation and was a member of Advance First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas ""Buck"" Burton and three brothers, Howard B. Joyner, J. Craig Joyner and C.W. ""Jack"" Joyner. She is survived by one son, Thomas Scott Burton of Advance; one sister, Claudine Foltz of Winston-Salem and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, September 7, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel by Rev. Rodney Hellard and Rev. Martin Kastner. Burial will follow at Advance First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Advance First Baptist Church, P. O.
