Mrs. Kathleen Weaver Clayton ""The Egg Lady"", 78, of Winston-Salem died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born August 19, 1929 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late, Sid and Hattie Billings Weaver. Mrs. Clayton was of the Baptist faith. She was a greeter at K&W Cafeteria and retired with almost 50 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Clayton; one sister, Lucille Boggs and two brothers, Roger Weaver and Bill Weaver. Survivors include one son, Allen Stewart, Jr. and wife, Nancy of Faith; two daughters, Norma ""Susie"" Williamson and husband, De Witt of Myrtle Beach, SC and Jill Clayton of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Paul Weaver of Winston-Salem and one sister, Pauline Wood of Magnolia, DE. A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at The Clayton Family Cemetery in Stanleyville with Rev. Ottis Hurst officiating.. The family will receive friends tonight from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Mrs. Clayton's family would like to thank the Allred family of K&W for their support and kindness during her almost 50 years of service and also Glenn and the rest of the employees and all of the customers whom she called her friends.
