Kathleen "Kitty" Bray Myers

Kathleen “Kitty” Bray Myers, 86, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024, at Brookdale Senior Living. 

Mrs. Myers was born June 15, 1938, in Wilkes County, to John Harvey Bray and Martha Royal Bray. She retired from Bellsouth after 32 years of service. During the course of her life, Kathleen supported many charities and always put others needs before her own. Over the last year at Brookdale, she enjoyed getting to know the staff and her new friends. Kathleen also took great joy in being involved with the book club and many other activities at Brookdale. She had a special love for family and her dog, Patches. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Richard Gary Myers; and three brothers, Kenneth Bray, Kyle Bray, and Kennett Bray. 

Left to cherish her memory is one brother, Kelly Bray (Glenna) of Elkin; sister in-law, Betty Jean Bray; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her niece Reba Lyons and her husband Gary; her dear friend, Heather; caregiver, Tyrone; and the staff of Brookdale. 

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 11, 2024, at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Pastor Lomax Skinner officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to organizations helping with relief efforts in Western NC.
