Kathryn Charles Stones

Mrs. Kathryn Charles Stones, 58, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Stones was born in Columbia, SC on August 31, 1958. She was a graduate of R.J. Reynolds High School. Following high school she graduated from Lees-McRae College and Salem College. Kathryn retired from U.S. Airways. Mrs. Stones was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stones and her father, John ""Bob"" Charles. Mrs. Stones is survived by her mother, Marie Johnston Charles of Winston-Salem; one sister, Donna Lynne Charles (Michael Miskin) of Suffolk, VA; one brother, Ken Charles (Judy) of Eldorado Hills, CA; and one niece, Meredith Maher of Phoenix, AZ. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Don Gordon and Rev. Christa Warise officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Kathryn was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
