Kathy Sell Johnk

Mrs. Kathy Sell Johnk, 59, of Winston-Salem died Friday, December 26, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Johnk was born January 20, 1949 in Forsyth County, a daughter of Raymond Sell and Lois Mabe Sell both of Winston-Salem. She graduated in 1967 from East Forsyth High School and was a member of Calvary Moravian Church. She retired from the payroll department at Sarah Lee with 17 years of service and worked 4 years at Dougherty Equipment. Mrs. Johnk never met a stranger and always had a kind heart toward others and animals. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 10 years, Ronald Johnk; sister, Gloria Langley; niece, Blair Umphlett and husband Brent; great-nephew, Devon Umphlett; and her beloved pets, Sasha, Indigo, Chloe, Gabriel, and Butterscotch. A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, December 29, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with The Rt. Rev. Lane Sapp officiating. Interment will follow at Saints Delight Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
