Katie Tesh

Mrs. Katie Combs Tesh, 88, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born on June 12, 1933, in Wilkes Co. the daughter of the late Dancey Lee Combs and Bena Mae Combs. Mrs. Tesh was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. She loved to garden, sew and read. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Tesh; a daughter, Sandra Leigh Tesh Butner; and four brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Tesh Allen (Ricky); two grandchildren, Daniel Gray Butner (Brian Horton) and Lee Van Allen; a sister, Dixie Combs; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Robert Wiles officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
