Keith E. Saunders, 48, passed away on February 10, 2026 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born on June 28, 1977 in Hamilton, Ohio and was originally from Seven Mile, Ohio.

Keith leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Joyce Saunders Chandler; brother, Dustin (Sara) Saunders; nephews, Charlie and Thomas Saunders; nieces, Lilah Badics and Eve Ferguson; and aunts and uncles, Bo (Sharon) Garrison, Lucy Lakes, Dennis Saunders, Doug (Molly) Saunders, and Sue Flaherty. Also surviving are his cousins, Kellie (Ryan) Andrews, Casey (Amanda) Garrison, Jillian Garrison, and Niccole Lakes, along with many other cousins throughout the country. Keith is lovingly remembered by his many lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Saunders; his maternal grandparents, Jim and Wilma Garrison; his paternal grandparents, Charlie and Barbara Saunders; his uncle Randall Garrison; his aunt Michelle Saunders; and his cousin Tara Lakes.

Keith was truly the life of the party. When he entered the room, it glowed with his energy. His smile was infectious and he could always keep you laughing. He had a large group of close friends affectionately known as “his wheres” whom he loved dearly and who will miss him beyond measure.

Throughout his career, Keith lived in multiple places, forming lasting friendships wherever he went. His most recent move brought him to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where in July 2025 he was named Vice President of Global Supply Chain Operations for ProKidney.

Private services will be held by the family, and a celebration of Keith’s life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center ICU and Trellis Supportive Care for the compassion, love, and support shown to Keith and his family during this time.

Keith’s legacy is one of joy, connection, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
