Kenneth Alden Smith

Kenneth Alden “Ken” Smith, 80, of Pilot Mountain, NC, passed away on October 24, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born on January 27, 1943, in Winston-Salem, to Wilbur and Clara Jessup Smith. Ken was a graduate of Pilot Mountain High School, Wake Forest College, and Wake Forest University School of Law. He was an attorney for 55 years as well as a former mayor of Pilot Mountain. Ken is survived by his partner of 44 years, Michael E. Thompson. Ken requested that there be no formal service.
