Kenneth Wayne Horton

Mr. Kenneth Wayne Horton, 69, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born July 15, 1943 in Forsyth County to Howard Bishop and Catherine Angel Horton. Mr. Horton was retired from the City of Winston-Salem and was a registered land surveyor with 30 years of service. He will be remembered for his love of nature and recreational maps. He also loved his three cats, White Socks, Spatz and Juneau. Surviving are his wife, Susan L. Horton of the home; a sister, Gail H. Morgan (Timothy) of Winston-Salem; a sister-in-law, Dixie L. Lindley of Honolulu, HI; a nephew, Sam H. Morgan; and a niece, Anna M. Price. A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pilot Mountain State Park, 1792 Pilot Knob Park Rd., Pinnacle, NC 27043.
