Mr. Kenneth Raymond Weiss, 66, of Port Saint Lucie, FL passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 1, 2025 while in Advance, NC. He was born January 23, 1959 in Phoenixville, PA to Thomas Arthur Weiss and Dorothy Brodzinski Weiss. Ken Weiss lived life in the fast lane—literally and figuratively. A lifelong drag racer with racing fuel in his veins and a deep love for all things Chevrolet, Ken found his peace not in stillness, but in motion—the rumble of a big block under the hood, the scent of burning rubber, and the adrenaline rush of chasing the perfect pass down the quarter-mile. Ken knew the language of torque and timing, and spoke it fluently in burnouts, gear shifts, and quarter-mile passes. He spent his free time going to the race tracks and watching his daughter Katie race their 1989 Chevy Camaro. Surviving are his loving wife of 33 years, Roxanne Summers Weiss; three daughters, Katie Bushey, Nicole Weiss and Samantha Wisneski; one son, Kenneth Weiss, Jr.; one step-daughter, Rachelle May; and three grandchildren, Marlin Bushey, Bailey Weiss and Noah Weiss. Their legacy isn’t just found in trophies or time slips—it’s in the memories shared, the engines they built, and the love they spread for the sport of drag racing. May their tires leave eternal rubber on the roads of heaven, and may the echoes of their engines never fade. Gone far too soon, but forever in the winner’s circle of our hearts. There will be a family visitation held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.
