Mr. Kent Maynard Moses, 74, of Kernersville, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born June 15, 1939 in Mercer County, West Virginia to Frank Edward Moses and Viola Thompson Moses. Mr. Moses was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1965. He retired from USAirways, formerly Piedmont Airlines and was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Winston-Salem. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Richard Kent Moses; five brothers, Eugene, Wiley, Bobby, Larry and Frank and one sister, Janet Ragan. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Joanne Johnston Moses; one son, Paul Moses (wife Melissa) of North East, MD; one sister, Melva Hill of Kegley, West VA and two grandchildren, Kelsey and Jarrett Moses of North East, MD. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 18, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Tim Wolfe and Rev. Ronnie Kennett officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service on Monday. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, West VA.
