Kevin Ray Love

KERNERSVILLE – Kevin Ray Love, 66, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026 at Kernersville Medical Center. Kevin was born on October 8, 1959 in Forsyth County to Billy Ray and Gale Smith Love. Kevin was a 1977 graduate of East Forsyth High School and earned an Associate Degree at Forsyth Technical Community College. He retired from Winston Salem Transit Authority. He enjoyed visiting the beach, fishing, and had an admiration for cars – a trait passed down from his father, but his favorite past time was reading.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Bill Love; a brother, Kyle Love; his maternal grandparents, Clifton and Maymie Smith; and paternal grandparents, Eugene and Altie Love; his aunts, Kathy Burkhart, and Kay Williams.

Surviving are his son, Jeremy Love; his granddaughter, Gemma; his mother, Gale Love; his brother, Kerry Love (wife, Theresa); nieces, Dora and Mattison Love; great-nephew, Morgan; uncle and aunts, Gene Love (Marilyn), and Denise Milton (Terry); cousins, Kelsey and Joshua, and many other cousins and relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Pastor Keith Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall.
